Grape 761
The Origin Bob Vladovechsenkchushkin ws not a typical baby. He was born in Vladivostok, and when he was birthed, he came out with a hockey helmet on and a black eye. His parents could see that he was special, as he emitted pure hockey energy. He was not given the last name of his parents, and instead had one created for him, combining the names of multiple great Russian hockey players before him. While he was a typical size at birth, by the age of 2, he was the same size as 8 year olds. Due to his size, his parents were able to convince a youth coach to let Bob play hockey in their program. On his first practice, the moment he stepped on the ice for the first time ever, he was a natural, already able to skate forward and backwards, stop, and do crossovers. Already boasting borderline elite skating ability, for the first game, Bob was on the starting line. This game, however, did not last long for him. He was quickly ejected from the game after delivering a bone-crushing hit on another player. Since the kids were super young, this was a no-check league, and the severity of the hit was deserving of an ejection. Unfortunately for Bob, despite his skills skating-wise, all he could really do was check. He was soon kicked off the team and banned from the league, and his parents were forced to look elsewhere. For many years, Bob Vladovechsenkchushkin bounced around Russia, joining, playing, and subsequently getting kicked off multiple teams. Eventually, at the age of 8, Bob was a big enough size that his parents were able to talk their way into letting Bob join a U15 checking league, and from then on, Bob excelled. The Rise After finally being allowed into a hitting league, Bob Vladovechsenkchushkin became an absolute force. He excelled at delivering decimating hits, crushing anyone who stood in his way. Despite his elite checking abilities, coaches were weary of playing Bob due to the fact that he has already put 20 people in the hospital. Bob’s stat line after his first season playing in the hitting league boasted no goals or assists, but over 300 hits. As he continued to grow, his hit count grew as well. His development, however, seemed to have stagnated. The elite skating ability he showed against kids, was barely on par with the competition he was going up against now. Sure his hitting was equivalent to that of the highest level players, but being able to get to the other players was becoming a challenge. He became less like an elite top line hitter to a bottom line grinder during his teenage years. He didn’t quit, however. He continued to train and improve his craft and kept with it. If he couldn’t get out there and hit the other players, he would go out and block their shots instead. He really grew into that grinder role and embodied it. At the ripe age of 18, he got a shot in the KHL. As expected, he put up no points in a short 6 game stint, but did have 15 blocked shots and 12 hits. Bob Vladovechsenkchushkin showed that he was ready to make the jump. The Future Now that Bob Vladovechsenkchushkin has been drafted by the Saskatoon Wild (totally delayed this on purpose, not because I’m lazy), he has a chance to put his skills on a bigger stage and show the world what he can do. Bob is ready to elevate his hitting and blocking game to a whole new level and lead his team to a championship through physicality. Many slept on Bob, and they will feel his wrath. Greg_Di 1,028
Review: Loves this article and Bob's background. Enjoyed the part where his last name was created just specifically for him. Had a great flow for Bob's rise in the hockey world and draft by Saskatoon. I wouldn't really add too much to this article, maybe a picture would be nice to spruce it up a little bit. 9/10 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/108559-big-bob-blob/#findComment-873316 Share on other sites
osens 297
Great article, I love how you made those headlines and split it into 3 paragraphs that are about their own things. It is because of dark theme, pretty sure, but it was all black text, but it's not your fault so no worries. I would recommend putting in some colours in the text and using some pictures. It will make your article seem more professional. But great work and can't wait to see more of this! 9.5/10 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/108559-big-bob-blob/#findComment-873604 Share on other sites
