Seattle defender Erlantz Jokinen caused a bit of a stir as he walked towards the dressing room wearing what looked like a hat made from money. The defender refused to comment at first, but after few reporters kept asking him about his hat, he gave this comment:

 

''Yea I'm wearing a hat made from money. I don't know if you have heard, but I just got a huge bonus from Seattle. If you have money and can't show it somehow - what is the point of having money? I need to get going, we got practice in fifteen minutes''

 

Early reports suggest that Erlantz Jokinen signed two different bonuses, worth 4m in total. Some experts have been speculating what the reason for such bonuses could be? Most experts seemed to agree that it can't be his level of play. Potential reasons for 4m in bonuses could be the Seattle organization winning the lottery or Jokinen having some kind of evidence that he used to blackmail the Bears. Remains to be seen if we ever hear the full story.

 

VHL season is just around the corner. Jokinen is starting his second full season in VHL. Last year he moved from Riga to Seattle in the middle of the season. He did not impress during the regular season but he was less shit during the playoffs.
