GMing in VHLE

Howdy, Frosty here, so, I have actually thought about his quite a lot - is there anything different about VHLE compared to VHLM or VHL GMing? 

Overall, it is exactly the same and I think that for VHLE right now it is extremely important to make sure that players want to be a part of this new league and not just skip over it. For me, the GMing part is exactly about that- make sure you have a connection between you and your players so that you can create something absolutely amazing. Making lines, well, that is the hard part because we only have 6 teams so you have to find a way to create a set of lines that somehow will not fail against the same team. What do I mean by that? Well, Bratislava had an over 6 game run against Vasteras not too long ago and after game 5 it just felt extremely tiring to see exactly the same players and names be your opponents.  Overall, the GMing part is extremely fun and making something new like this is just wonderful. 

I think that as a GM you are actually in a tough spot in VHLE - we have a league under us who is performing great and has already created its legacy, we have VHL on top that continues to prove how competitive you have to be to become an elite player in VHL. We are somehow dependent on both VHL GMs for allowing their players to play in VHLE and on VHLM GMs who I hope, are not telling people to skip VHLE. I believe we need an overall plan how to make sure that we all GMs are working with the same goal - making sure that everyone is having fun and is interested in being a member of our community.
