JeffD 648
The Chicago Phoenix have continued to roll through the season and have eclipsed the 100 point plateau. While they likely will not be winning the North American conference, as they have in the past, they will be going into the playoffs playing very well. Of note is Julian Nousiainen who has passed the 100 point mark for the second time in his career, having an incredible 118 points with five games still remaining. Matty Socks, lifetime member of the Chicago Phoenix, has also hit 100 points for the first time in their career with an extremely impressive 29 goals and 71 assists from the backend. Add to that 161 hits and 149 shot blocks and there is definitely a possibility for some post-season hardware coming their way. While they have not been on the same kind of heater that saw them win 26 games straight at one point this season there is no doubt what the Chicago Phoenix have done this season has been very special and while they will be losing a large portion of their roster to retirement this offseason they can be proud of what they have done.
