Armani Calamari and his teammates watched the clock go down with excitement. It was game 7 of the VHLE finals, and the Vasteras Iron Eagles were up 6-1 on the Rome Gladiators. They had clawed back from being down 3-1 in the series and now they were just a few seconds away from winning the first ever VHLE championship. Finally the seconds went down to zero and all of the Iron Eagles players went to hug in a big pile in the middle of the ice. Calamari would have rather this happen in Vasteras but this was still an insane moment in his life.

Eventually the hug broke apart and Calamari was pulled into an interview with a sideline reporter:

"Armani you must be so excited about this and I am extremely happy for you!" The British reporter girl said "tell Mr and the fans back in Vasteras how you feel"

"Well I know most people in Sweden do speak English but I hope there are subtitles for those who don't." Armani chuckled "but nevertheless, this is extremely exciting for me and I am so happy to bring the cup home to Vasteras. I love the people in Sweden and I know they deserve it. They embraced this kid from Toronto Canada and I can only imagine the celebration happening there."

"I am being told that it is crazy! But I must know if you have learned much Swedish while you were there".

"I learned that I am not that good at learning new languages!" Armani laughed "but hopefully they can understand all of my words well enough. I love you Sweden, see you in a couple of days or so!" It was then that Armani was called onto the center of the ice to hold up the large cup first since he is the captain. He held it up high and yelled out his victory and triumph to the cheers of the few Vasteras fans that were able to make the trip to Italy.

And somewhere in a small town just outside of Toronto his dad and a bunch of his friends are celebrating just as hard. They had been watching the game through John Calamari's hockey streaming service and they can't wait to get ahold of Armani to congratulate him on a job well done.

Alright guys and gals and everything in between WildfireMicro talking now and I just want to say how proud I am of this team overall. We have clawed back from diversity so many times in these playoffs, being down 0-2 in the semi-finals and 1-3 in the finals. We had to go through the pain of two game sevens. Everybody did their part in making this happen and I will admit I had my moments of doubt. I do not know if I will earn enough to get into the VHL, but I would be alright if I have to spend another season in Vasteras. Yes we might suffer a painful hangover season but at least we can do it with our heads held high.

Thank you Vasteras and thank you for reading. I hope to see you all on the ice soon!Iyl48T6.jpg

Congratulations on the first ever VHLE Championship! It was great to hear in your story about your dad throughout your media spots. I would have loved for you to go into more detail about how the locker room was after the game but it was great to hear your excitement in the interview. You can feel the moment in your media spot, it's very energetic and reflects the great win you had. Thanks for posting and good luck in the rest of your career!

Score: 9/10
