Davos search for captain

As the HC Davos Dynamo began their promising new campaign with a new coach and almost completely new cast of players, one voice appeared missing on and off the ice. Captain Matteo Gallo played in the games but was not heard and his level of play was reduced to very weak, as despite a team-leading 20 shots in two games, including 14 against cup contenders from Calgary, he could only muster one assist during the Dynamo's 1-1 start to the season.

The rookie captain endured a lonely Season 34 in the locker room which might have mentally scarred the young Italian, although he remained upbeat and enthusiastic in the off-season after several strong trades and personal achievements in the VHLM, where he almost single-handedly led the Vasteras IK J20 to the Founder's Cup finals.

Where has Gallo gone? This will be a question posed by the Davos management, players, and fans throughout the remainder of Season 35, but the hope has to be that the client of Quik, agent of Hall of Famers Matthew Pogge, Matt Bailey, and Branden Snelheid, will find his way back to the VHL.
