Rookies/goods and bads in the league

Ok here we go. Most of you will love this topic and most of you will be like “it’s rookies I will care after their third season.” But it’s something that needs to be talked about in my opinion. Ok first off, I’m going to cover a lot of stuff examples: name some rookies that are not playing as well, and name some that are playing really well, talk about expectations and maybe even draft stuff and rankings. Now I’m new to this sort of topic so bear with me here. Ok first off, we all know rookies have big expectations in the VHL. Like me my self or my player Jack Hextall is expected to preform as well as I can. I may not be for these dirt 6 or so games I’ve played but that is ok. But when GMs are looking for players and they send you an offer to start off the season they are basically saying “hey we think you will be something join our team” you better accept that offer and try your hardest to work and show them what they are signing. Now I know you wont be on that team at the end of the season cause the draft but show off well your there, become a team player, and most importantly have fun. Also, bear with me on my grammar it won’t been 100%. Anyways try to upgrade your player as much as you can and maybe over achieve and do point task like I am here on writing a rookie report. Over achieve big word you will hear by coaches for the rest of your career rookies so get use to me saying that word. Anyways if your not doing your best to start off I think maybe give it 10-20 games till you get your first few points cause it’s taking me that right now and I am not stressing on it. That’s why I’m making this article because I want to get the points. In addition, teamwork is a big thing when it comes to the VHL. You should always get involved in the discord chat talking to your teammates, getting to know everybody, and etc. that is a deal breaker in the VHL community is getting involved. Say hi to the GM get to know some of your guys and if they have some meme pages post on them make everyone laugh. If they have a number counter add to the number counter to start adding that baby up. Little things like that can get you involved in a big way. Adding on to teamwork and discord maybe ask the guys how their days going listen in and just have a good conversation with them. That is always needed in the chat especially if your team is In a slump just saying “hey boys we got this” can make a big difference. Lastly, look at the announcements for TPE opportunities because those are game changers also shout out to my GM who post those and takes the time to let me know that “hey TPE opportunity here” y’all are amazing.

Second, I’m going to try and go for a lot of words but we will see how much I get lol. I want to take this last paragraph to talk about players.

Jack Hextall:
Now this is my guy and no I ain’t going to be biases but I will admit he’s in a slump. I’ve got 0 points in 6 games I think and my faceoff % is really bad. Then again coach is barely playing me which is a big factor and Jack just started playing but I ain’t going to use that as an excuse. I want to be a leader and a point maker that’s why I play hockey. Sure I’m a big chirper in the locker room and everyone likes having a talkative person in their to say hello and get involved but on the ice Jack is different he can get to the net and can’t win faceoffs and again I bet this will change but as of now need to fix something and needs to figure out his stuff soon.

Miervaldis Arpa:

I feel as if I should do a goalie and a player and this guy has some talent. Was drafted 22nd overall which is crazy by the The Mississauga Hounds who still plays for them and this man is talent might I tell you. This is his fist real year and this kid is lights out for the Hounds. Gifted from the start and always will be and shows no sign of stopping which is crazy. Stats are 24W, 8L, SV%: .891,GAA: 2.65, and 3 shutouts. So his save % is not that high but those wins and loses and GAA is amazing and plus 3 shutouts mans is lights out. I don’t have a lot to say but he I just amazing. His has been amazing from the start and also shows no sign of stopping amazing goal tender right here.

Ragnar Hagstrom:

get a load of this guy. Defenseman drafted 7th overall by what we’re known as the Minnesota Storm and now plays for The Ottawa Lynx and this kid has been amazing from the start as well. He is over a point per game by a long shot 40 GP, 28 G, 35 A, 63 P, +/- of 13 which is what you want. This kid shows no sign of stopping. He keeps getting better and better and I’ve heard is fun in the locker room and loves talking to the guys and getting together with them after games and hanging out. Big chirp and I feel as if he is not talked about enough in the league and is kind of a hidden gem rn for that Ottawa team and is that break out defensemen that they needed.

In summary, I talked about what you need to be a good overall rookie and to be known around the league as a good teammate and a good player. Also, I added to get those TPE tasks in and get those points cause it’s worth a lot and helps out the team. In addition, I talked about a few players Jack Hextall who’s waiting to break out, goalie Miervaldis Arpa who is playing amazing for the Hounds and is a teammate of Jack’s, and lastly, Ragnar Hagstrom a hidden gem I feel and a break out player that could get a defensive player of the year award very soon.

good job, its always nice to see a new name trying a media spot. Don't worry about your performance to bad, everyone including myself start slow in the league. You will upgrade your player and one day you're player will pop off. I love you're analyst to the players at the end, it add a nice touch. That media spot just prove that VHL GM need to keep an eye on Jack Hextall ad he can be a steal in the later round. 8/10
