Even more random thoughts as TPE is starting to get harder and harder to earn; not due to it being hard but as stated before I have less and less time to actually think of something to actually complete these tasks for TPE. I did I mention that I am soon going to be working three jobs at least over the holiday period? Yeah, I am going to be working three jobs that will see me have even less time then I already have as I go from one job to the next and then straight to bed. At least they so far flow together with a few days where I won’t have all three on the same days. Monday, Tuesdays and Thursdays are going to be hell since I have all three jobs to be completed. With Thursday being the worst as I work Thursday Early morning, Morning and Afternoon to have less then three hours before I need to crash and get back up for the early morning shift again. Okay, I am off topic again…..

Passing? Is this really the meta? Reason that I ask is the fact that I see a lot of people complaining about passing being so OP at the moment but when you look at my player in Prague he doesn’t have a low passing as he is built as a two way forward that leans towards the Offensive side of the puck (99SC & 95 DF). Yet he holds his own every year in the league scoring usually in the top 25 or so. This season hasn’t been that much different other then being on the second line at times and his line mates not producing as much as the first Iine is able too. (Not a knock on the second line mates just facts) So is passing the meta?

Was reading that Offensive and Defense was actually the meta build the other day; which is sort of true as both feed off each other in a common sense type of way that leads to team success; but has anyone actually every tried building an Offensive only player that stands at the blue line calling for the puck? Or simple a defensive minded forward that stands at the red line only so that the team has three forwards back at all times? Either way the idea of making TPA cost more for SC & DF doesn’t change the meta from SC & DF but simply moves the goal posts meaning yes, it will be harder to build an 99 SC & 99 DF but then the new meta will be 89 & 89 or something similar. What needs to happen is less overall ability to earn TPE for the high earners but that won’t go over well at the beginning if that was too happen and league activity would like disappear as we would become a welfare league as the welfare would need to stay the same while either max TPE is reduced from 13 or remove uncapped TPE from the game. (I am not a wealth fare player so give me a second to check something) So it is worse then I expected as welfare is only 4 TPE with practice 1 TPE (VHL) & 2 TPE (VHLM) means they are earning 1/3 of the TPE of the max earners; which seems like too big of a gap but I think I understand why it was done. So closing the gap should make the overall players in the league closer together making a stronger league; while allowing the one off superstar to dominate the league. Say TPE around 10 for a max earner as this will be around 50% more then a welfare player.
