TORONTO - Despite improving upon their point total from last season, the Toronto Legion’s season came to an end a bit earlier in Season 82 courtesy of their defeat at the hands of the Seattle Bears. Despite the 3-1 result, it was a very tight series, with each game decided by one goal. However, Toronto just couldn't seem to get the breaks they needed in the end, and the long off-season began for the Legion.

Plenty of questions await Toronto this off-season, the first of which weighs the largest: who will be the new general manager of the Legion? This hiring will undoubtedly affect the direction this team takes in the off-season, and the team's fans would certainly love to avoid yet another rebuild with another young core in place. The effectiveness of this core, however, will certainly come into question with the new build metrics coming into play in Season 83. Players like Matty Fire, Kyle Peace, and Jannik Nylen have excelled, but how will they fare in this new era of the VHL?

Goaltender Oskar Lindbergh struggled during Season 82 after a very promising rookie season, leaving many to wonder if he truly was the team's future in net as he was billed to be. Despite a strong showing in the playoffs against Seattle, it still wasn’t enough to move on, and if Toronto wants to take the next step towards their cup dreams, their young netminder will need to do the same.

Many questions face the Legion this off-season, and any future successes will depend on finding the right answers as Toronto enters a new era both in their history and the VHL's.
