Arce 755 Posted March 16, 2022 Share Posted March 16, 2022 What a start to the Mexico City Kings vs Houston Bulls series it has been! The Kings come into this series a very formidable opponent. They swept the Ottawa Lynx out in the first round. The Halifax 21st ended up giving the Houston Bulls quite the fight in their series, as the Bulls pulled it out in 5 but not without the stress of 1 goal games. Game 1 featured a double overtime thriller which took two Ivan Retoslav goals to start and end the game. Hammar Voss also contributed a crucial goal, and ripped 10 shots on net. All it took was a little Diabetic Cheese to start a rush, a Matchett feed and Retoslav did the rest to seal the deal to give the Bulls a 1-0 series lead. Game 2, the Bulls were all business as they opened up the gates to a 6-2 win. The over hit easily in the first period as the Bulls had a 3-2 lead in a tight start to the game. Retoslav and Voss picked up where they left off in game 1 as they netted a goal each in that first period. We were joined by Jack Hextall as well who netted his 5th goal of the playoffs. Period 2 is where Houston would cruise to ice the 2-0 series lead as they netted 3 additional goals by Phoebe Bridgersand a pair from the one and only AirRig GoodBrandSun. This is the exact start to the series Houston wanted. They however cannot let their guard down, as Mexico City is looking to even up the odds in the next sim and have the fire power to do so. The key to the Bulls is to keep their foot on the gas, and do not give the Kings any life.
