With the Meta ending, let's look at some points numbers from each season since Ori joined the league (S79)

We all know the changed are right around the corner, the playoffs are finished and I thought it'd be worth looking at how far points have gone up. Gonna look at the season that just finished and the past three seasons, or as the title says, when Ori joined in season 79. Since this is just an article it ain't gonna be a super in depth look at each season or anything, just a quick run down.

Season 79 the points leader was Gunnar Odinsson with 133, he along with three others had 120+ points, 9 total players had 110+ points, and 14 players had 100+ points. To be in the top 50 you needed at least 77 points. In the playoffs Odinsson was once again the points leader with 32, the only one to have 30+, he and 12 other players had 20+ points.

Season 80 133 points again was the leading number, although this time it was by Jivere Zoinek, again we had just the one player break 130+ points, he and three other players had 120+ points which is the same as last season, 11 players with 110+ points so two more than last season, the biggest difference though is we had 28 players with 100+ points, exactly double from last season. To be in the top 50 you needed a minimum of 83 points. Playoff wise numbers were actually down, Henry Tucker lead with 24 points and just 5 players hit 20+ points.

Season 81 we saw numbers explode, Justin Lose lead with 142 points, the only one to break 140. Him and 5 other players had 130+ points, 13 players had 120+, 24 players had 110+ and 40 players had 100+ points!! To be top 50 you needed 92 points minimum! Jerome Reinhart lead in the playoffs with a crazy 52 points in just 18 games, he was nearly scoring at a clip of 3 points per game! To top it off not only was he the only to break 50 points, but 40 as well. 4 players with 30+ points, and 14 players with 20+.

Finally season 82, numbers did fall a little but not by much, Dan Dan lead with 143 points and Jerome Reinhart was behind by only 2 points, they both were the only ones to pass 140+, 7 players had 130+, 12 with 120+, 18 with 110+ and 31 with 100+. You needed at least 89 points to be in the top 50 and for fun Ori finished in 45th with 92 points. Duncan Idaho lead in the playoffs with 41 points, only one to break 40, him and 3 others had 30+ and 8 players had 20+

Season 81 was definitely the breaking point, while I don't think the league wanted 28 players scoring 100+ having 40 players hit that mark is just to crazy, it's to many. Let's say goodbye to this high scoring meta and hopefully hello to one that is more balanced.
