Motzaburger 1,590 Posted September 3, 2014 Share Posted September 3, 2014 Lukas Nykvist joined the VHLM late in S38. He was unknown and was thrown right into hockey. There he showed signs of struggle and success as he played a small role in winning the S38 Championship with the Yukon Rush (Yukon 2 gud!). Overall he had average stats and showed that he was a possibly value asset for the future. He sneaked into the first found of the VHL draft and was taken 9th overall by the Calgary Wranglers. Then in the dispersal draft he was off to the Turku Outlaws in what would be a make or break season. Only six games in he was dealt to the Brampton Blades were now his past time is raking up points with team-mate Tyrone Williams. Below is a comparison of the two seasons for Nykvist. As you can see Nykvist has become a beast this season in the VHLM. But does he have what it takes to be as successful one day in the VHL with the youth injected Wranglers club? Will he be star or will he become an inactive bust? Only time will tell. So far all signs point to a star. Stay tuned.
