Not really a fan of the text but maybe the color you used is why it looks odd to me, subjective. You ended up with a fun looking graphic and that's what matters. You clearly tried some things here and the warped spiral by the name was at first very distracting. I'd say the attempt is this is great because you tried to make it unique. The overall sig is good, but I would say it's washed out a bit. Maybe try enhancing the colour a bit. The text work is pretty good and it was a good font choice.
