VHL Member I Appreciate

My time in the VHL has been a bit bumpy at times, from when my first player was drafted by the aces and I just couldn’t produce points in the M to Simon putting a horrible curse on the S75 Riga draftees which saw us never get the playoff success we probably deserved. Throughout it all, there have been some members of the VHL community who have really helped keep my active and allowed me to enjoy the league to the fullest.

 

The first token of appreciation goes to my first ever GM Spartan. There is no way I would’ve stayed around anywhere near as long as I did on the first player or even bothered to re-create if he hadn’t of drafted my all the way back in S74. He helped my try to fix my broken build when my player just couldn’t put up points and tried his best to give me time to shine before I left the team. After I was drafted, I still spoke to him and hung out in the Vegas locker room which was always a blast. I went inactive for a bit as I fell out of love with the league but when I came back, I got a Dm from Cole about the JST and guess who his AGM was… Spartan. Not gonna lie, felt like Spartan was just following m around the league but I did put a smile on my face and got my back in love with the VHL. Even recently Spartan messaged me on discord to check in and see how I was doing. All around top guy and the league wouldn’t be the same without you.

 

The next appreciation shoutout is a joint one but it goes out to all the AGMs I’ve had over the course of my time here. Those are JigglyGumballs (My Vegas AGM), my Riga AGM who I can’t remember who it was but none the less I thank you, Babyboomer (My AGM in Rome) and lastly Jacob who is my current AGM out in San Diego. The work that the AGMs is amazing and I don’t think anyone’s league experience would be the same without them. From all the press conferences you wrote for the team to do, helping people out with trivia question and keeping the locker rooms active, you guys are an integral part of the league and I thank you for what you do.

 

Lastly, I would like to thank Enorama. When I came back to the league, my player was in the final year of his career and since I had been inactive, I had been signed by the D.C. Dragons for my last season. I didn’t want to play the season out in the VHL and wanted to try win a VHLE trophy and go out on a high. Eno allowed me to go and play for Rome where I went on to be the top defensemen and also hoist the VHLE cup. This let me go out on a high and kickstarted my career with my new player, giving me a new found love for the league. So, thanks a lot!

 

There will have been people that I have missed out and people that I don’t know who do great things for the league but these members above have had the biggest impact on my time here so I thank you all!

For real though, I only put in that kind of effort because you're a great dude that I've enjoyed having around me. I can't think of many other players of mine that have accepted a bottom 6 role in the M and continued being an active member of a team, and then going on to have a solid career (even factoring in the inactivity). I'm glad you're back and I hope we get to team up again sometime
