Boomcheck 161
Really curious to see where Stewart ends up tbh.
Boomcheck 161
Sabres are genius. Lose the game, showcase Stewart a little to get his trade value up. $$
Kendrick 4,741
Chris Stewart is the opposite of what he is advertised as. He is being shopped as a big power forward crease screener, but he is actually softer than he looks. Anthony Stewart was the same way.
boubabi 4,725
What would it takes to get Yakupov from the Oilers ? Center + bluechip prospect ?
Boomcheck 161
Don't think Oilers move Yakupov now tbh.
boubabi 4,725
Why not. They said they were willing to trade their first rounders to get some present. SInce it's the Oilers organization, everything is possible.
Boomcheck 161
Likely Pittsburgh's first they got out of the Perron deal. MacT won't give up on Yakupov yet.
Kendrick 4,741
Nail Yakupov's career -60 scares me
boubabi 4,725
Well, some people say that he started to play a bit better recently. Well, he got the tools to succeed but I think they oilers would be stupid to sacrifice Hall or Eberle instead of Yakupov. (Since Nugent Hopkins is pretty much lock)
boubabi 4,725
Eberle may be the most logical choice after Yakupov though and if Hall turns like a Martin Havlat 2.0, maybe too. Edited January 31, 2015 by boubabi
Boomcheck 161
I'd personally see them parting with Eberle before Yakupov even. Hall won't get moved, and RNH likely wouldn't either.
Kendrick 4,741
Taylor Hall is Eric Fehr V.
boubabi 4,725
For Eberle...are you looking at present/semi developed player or a blue-chip prospect and a good pick ?
Boomcheck 161
I'm not an Oilers fan, hell if I know They'd probably want a first+prospect/developing guy. Maybe at defense, or a big forward guy. Or possibly a goaltender.
boubabi 4,725
100% sure at defense though. I mean, if they trade one of their young forward, it's because they want to improve their defense

Boomcheck 161
And Maloney saying that the only untouchable in Phoenix is Doan Does he forgets OEK ? Pretty sure he said OEL and Domi too. Listening to a podcast, Mikkel Bodker is also considered pretty damn valuable to them. boubabi 4,725
Dunno how Boedker is doing at Phoenix but I know that OEK might be underrated. He's a hell of a good defender. And underrated, I know he's already somewhat recognize, but he's certainly one of the best in my book. Or at least, my type of defensemen.

And underrated, I know he's already somewhat recognize, but he's certainly one of the best in my book. Or at least, my type of defensemen. Arizona has a bunch of great pieces. They know that their main issue is to put people into seats, and money second since they haven't really made a profit since coming to the NHL. Though they just got millions out of some deals this past year. Ownership has faith in Maloney and Tippett likely wouldn't be shown the door. To put people in seats they need a good on-ice product and they're trying to work towards that by getting a top prospect. They got Domi, Gormley and Samuelsson in their pipeline. With new ownership (Arizona confident there won't be any major shift) they can afford a rebuild but it depends on what they do at the deadline and draft. boubabi 4,725
They actually had some good team some recent year. They competed with a lot of the western team. This season they suck because they doesn't have a good goalie but their playoff run last year was interesting
Kendrick 4,741
It's OEL not OEK haha. Also I heard Hanzal is valuable down there as well. Vermeer seems to be the big fish dangling from the line right now
boubabi 4,725
well, it's starting to be the whole team now. It's not like they were having a top team.
Boomcheck 161
They'll trade Hanzal for the right price but it looks like Vermette will likely be out since he can fetch a good return at this point.
boubabi 4,725
The price for vermette/Yandle is way too high though. As a habs fan, I hope we won't trade for vermette for what they are asking. And Yandle is trash.
