Many fans argue that he is the greatest player to ever play for the franchise.Jean Pierre Camus:This goalie’s resume is too long for his haters. Mr. Camus played 513 games for the franchise. He recorded a save percentage of 0.919% throughout his time with the team. In 513 games, he recorded 285 wins, 178 losses, and 43 overtime and shutout losses. Jean Pierre Camus created the new era of dominant goalies in our league. Just look at goalies like Xavier Booberry, Papa Emeritus, David Davis, Oskar Lindberg, Brandt Fuhr, and Cole Pearce all took inspiration. In all of his games, he only conceded 1597 goals. That’s the lowest amongst all retired goalies. Throughout his career, Mr. Camus earned the Gregor Clegane Trophy, Aidan Shaw Trophy, Daisuke Kanou Trophy, Brett Slobodzian Trophy, and another Aidan Shaw Trophy in S80. His legacy will remain intact with the future goalies of this league.Lee Xin: Another blazing forward that showed out for the Chicago Phoenix. He was an excellent defender, had experienced, and controlled the puck with his stick. He was a part of the S78 “Victory Cup” team and the S76 “Continental Cup” team. In eight seasons with the Chicago Phoenix, Lee Xin recorded 277 goals, 440 assists, 717 points, 3497 shot attempts, and a +/- with 88. His last season before his retirement cemented his legacy with the franchise. He was a shining star that could last in the sky forever. He holds the record with the most points for the organization.Matty Socks:The influence that Matty Socks had on the team was insane. He was the core of the defense. He only had one season where he had a +/- of -24. That was his rookie season. After that, he finished all the above positives. He was also a part of those cup wins from S74 to S80. Although he had a poor rookie season, the scouts knew he would have a fantastic career with the Chicago Phoenix. He wasn’t the best playoff performer; the team knew his weaknesses and didn’t blame him. Instead, he put the work in and became a better player. Every season, he would learn and study with the best defenders on the planet. That’s why he’s in the HoF. In seven seasons, he recorded 160 goals, 433 assists, 593 points, 2,007 shot attempts, and finished with a +/- of 79 for his career. These are just a few of the legends who have paved the way for other players to come. Their mark on this league will be infectious to the daily inspiration of people worldwide.
