Lavelle, Dragons Finding their Stride

The DC Dragons have quite a bit of a different look entering the S85 season. They lost Duncan Idaho to retirement and Poopy Peepants and Taylor Mourning to free agency. Both stuck together and ventured to New York under the new reign of management. In their place, the Dragons signed Helsinki forward Nezuko and traded for Darth Kaprizov from the Riga Reign to fill in the offensive holes. The team then replaced Peepants with Milan Dvorak via free agency and expect young Baxter Acranum to make the next step this season. Ronan Lavelle has been playing on a line with Ryan Vidot, and the duo has caught fire the last several games. Lavelle was averaging just over a point per game, but yesterday caught fire with 6 points in 2 games to put his point totals to just under 2 PPG. Lavelle said he has learned a lot from Duncan Idaho and playing on a line last year with him was very benifital and feels it helped him get the jump he needed to elevate to the next level. Lavelle is now hoping to lead by example and step up to the the franchise player. The Dragons have a solid offense, and defense with a top tier goaltender. Their S84 run ended in disappointment. but an S85 run is very much a possibility.
