The national anthem played at London United's game was the loudest ever national anthem crowd participation since it started being recorded in s23. The first ever VHL god save the king got all the crowd standing and yelling the words along. Matt Avens the only Brit on the whole team said it was an amazing performance and really hyped him up for the game. London United won the game 4-2 and it was amazing to be there live to experience.

In other news there has been rumours circling about a new upcoming league to rival the VHLE. Early reports say this league will be above the VHLM but not as great as the VHL. With just 6 cities it should be an interesting league. It's called the SHIHL or Southern Hemisphere Ice Hockey League. They will feature the following teams

1. Melbourne, Australia

2. Queenstown, New Zealand

3. Buenos Aires, Argentina

4. Jakarta, Indonesia

5. Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

6. Santiago de Chile, Chile

Stay tuned to see if any more information will be released.

This is going to take a while to get used to.

Honest question: are the words actually going to change to "king" now or not?

Yes they do. Also all the ships in the navy will be called 'His Majesty's Ship' i.o. 'Her Majesty's Ship' (conveniently the abbreviation 'HMS' will remain as is).
