Wann Kerr arrives as advertised

Calling Wann Kerr's transition to the E seamless would be an understatement. To start off his rookie season, he's riding a 6-game point streak on yet to be defeated Gladiators squad. 5 goals and 5 assists scored in those 6 games puts him in a 4-way tie for league leading 10 points, despite not being the most dynamic player around and despite his offensive game and puck skills being still very raw.

 

Wann Kerr finds the way to get on the scoring board by playing very energetic, north-south game built of sound foundation of impeccable defensive game. His ability to read opponents' breakouts and offensive plays two steps ahead allows him to always be in the right position to intercept passes, retrieve lose pucks or yoink the puck off its carrier with his stick, making him an elite player in gaining puck possession and pushing the game up the ice. Improving his success rate of winning face offs would make him even more valuable two-way force. It's good to see him recognizing this particular flaw in his game and already working on fixing it.

 

Good things happen when your team has the puck. And when Wann Kerr is on the ice, it seems like his team always has the puck.
