Blues win Stanley Cup for first time, defeat Bruins in Game 7 of Final

Another week and another series review for the Wolves. This series was as close as you can get it, going the full distance. The series could have been a cup final with all the back and forth. In the end the Wolves have won out and will be going to the finals. Let's look how Henry Eagles faired in this series

Game 1: Vancouver 3 - Chicago 1

It was a great start to the series for the Wolves as they came out of this one with a big first game win. Fuhr once again showed his dominance and was one of the main reasons the Wolves won this one. He stopped 32 out of 33 shots. Henry also had a good start to the series as he scored the first goal of the series. He finished the game with just the one goal.

Game 2: Vancouver 2 - Chicago 3

It was a much different game 2 as Chicago managed to sneak a win by the Wolves. Winning 3-2 in a tightly contested game. The Wolves offense seemed to fizzle out in this game which could have been from the fatigue of the playoffs. The team seemed tired and not as lively as game one. Henry did not manage to put any points on the board in this game and was disappointed in his performance as he didn't even manage one shot on goal.

"It was a disappointing game, they really locked me down and I couldn't get anything going" Henry said " having 0 shots in a playoff game like this is very embarrassing for me, I need to do better"

Game 3: Vancouver 2 - Chicago 0

Game 3 was another big statement win for the Wolves. Fuhr put the team on his shoulders and ended the game with a 30 save shutout. With this win the Wolves once again took the lead in the series and were in the drivers seat heading into game 4. As for Henry, he managed to end the game with 1 assist and showed much improved gameplay compared to game number 2.

Game 4: Vancouver 2 - Chicago 3

Game 4 seemed like Deja-Vu for the Wolves as they once again couldn't take the commanding series lead and once again lost by the same score of 3-2. The difference this time was that they looked more energetic and more up for the game as they pestered Cole Pearce with 46 shots but unfortunately were unable to find a 3rd goal past him. Henry ended the game with 1 goal which was the game tying goal in the 2nd period.

Game 5:  Vancouver 5 - Chicago 2

Game 5 saw another huge blowout win for the Wolves. They really turned on their offensive jets and dominated the game from start to finish. 8 players from the Wolves managed to put up a point in this game. Henry only ended up with 1 assist but it did not matter as the Wolves dominated regardless.

Game 6: Vancouver 4 - Chicago 5

This was supposed to be the game the Wolves closed it out but unfortunately that was not the way the story unfolded. Chicago seemed to be more up to the game and for the first time in this series scored more then 3 goals vs the Wolves to once again tie the series. Henry had his best game of the series and tried to prevent Chicago from tying the series by scoring 2 goals and 1 assist to finish with 3 points. This series would now go into the final game.

Game 7: Vancouver 2 - Chicago 1

In the closest and hardest fought game of the series, the Wolves fairytale run in the playoffs is alive. The Wolves managed to outlast Chicago to clinch game 7 and move onto the finals. This was definitely a battle of the goalies and Fuhr ended up being the winner. Henry was unable to put up any points in the deciding series but he was happy with his contribution overall.

"You can't score in every game but I am happy how I played and the team played" Henry said " We now look forward to the finals and hopefully we can bring it back for our Vancouver fans"
