Riggsy 72
All the good teams in the history of the VHL have tons of skill on the back end and up front. The great teams have the same, but there hasn't been a "great" team in the VHL for a while now. For most analysts, there is no difference between good and great, except for one. The great team has an enforcer that can straight up play and knock out some teeth. Straight up goons are a dime a dozen in hockey. It takes a special player to be an enforcer. The biggest difference? Goons can chuck the knuckles, but offer little in the way of offensive upside. An enforcer, on the other hand, is feared for his ability to scrap or intimidate, but can also put the biscuit in the basket. The Helsinki Titans are on the verge of being a great team. They have the offense, they have the defense and they have the goaltending. They also have the enforcer. Standing at 6'8" and 250 lbs from Moscow, Russia hails King Czar III who scares the opponents out of their skin just by looking at them. He has been playing Top 4 minutes for the Titans this season and has not looked out of place at all, racking up 10 PIMs and 17 shots blocked, he has 5 points in 19 games thus far. The very disturbing thing about Czar is that he hasn't even gotten into a fight, most people find that funny but Czar's enemies know the true tale. No one is brave enough to face the King in one on one combat out on the ice. That's the only reason he hasn't fought in a game yet, he wouldn't want to get suspended or anything. The King made his debut this season scoring a goal in his very first game on his very first shot, that made history (unofficially). Another record broken by the Czar is that he's the first third round pick in history to force his way into the VHL by going over the TPE Cap limit and forcing the Titans to play him. In these games, Czar is playing close to 30 MPG recently and is handling himself very well for a "rookie". He hits, he scares, he shoots, and he scores goles. So far, he has played a total of 412 minutes over the season and has helped his team to a 14-3-2 record while being a +2. Czar isn't the greatest player on the team, and he never will be. He knows his role even as a King, he must embrace it. Without Czar in a couple of years with Vojczek Svodoba retiring at the seasons end, Helsinki might be in trouble as they'll need someone to step into the #3 role that may just be the King himself. For now though, the King just continues to hit scrubs and score goles. STZ 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/13202-claimedgood-and-great/ Share on other sites

Now just stop winning so we can stay at the top Grammar: 2/2 Noticed you write goles instead of goals Appearance: 1/1 FINAL: 6/6 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/13202-claimedgood-and-great/#findComment-137142 Share on other sites
