While most rivalry's are bitter fights and long feuds, the Eagles family rivalry is more of a friendly one. All the Eagles who have played in the VHL - Greg, Tom and now Henry, all have a rivalry with who can win the most awards and continental cups in their career. It has been an interesting rivalry and race and on paper it looks like Henry will take the lead at the end of his career. Let's break down and see how the rivalry breaks down.

Continental Cups:

We will start with the biggest prize of all and that is the Continental Cup. This is what all teams and players in the VHL strive for season after season, to win the cup and become the best in the league. Amongst the Eagles players this category is currently led by the Original and first Eagles player to play in the VHL, Greg. Greg leads the pack with 2 Continental cup wins, one as a backup in Vancouver in his rookie season and another cup with Riga in the twilight of his career.

The next player to play in the VHL, Tom, unfortunately did not win any Continental cup's in his career. While he had a solid career and played on a very good Calgary team for most of his career, they were just unable to get the job done. Tom is the only Eagles player to date to not have a cup win and is one of his biggest regrets.

The current Eagles player, Henry, currently sits with one cup and by the looks of how things are going this season this total could potentially change to two. Henry won his first continental cup with Vancouver in his 2nd season and will be looking to tie Greg Eagles with another cup win this season. Henry has the highest potential to take the lead in this category as he still has multiple seasons left to play and plays on a very solid team.

Continental Cup Race:

1) Greg Eagles - 2 cups

2) Henry Eagles - 1 Cup

3) Tom Eagles - 0 Cups

Awards:

Our next rivalry category is individual awards and this section is being dominated by the original Eagles, Greg. Greg in his remarkable career garnered 3 individual awards in his time with the VHL. Greg won the Aidan Shaw, Greg Clegane and Daisuke Kanou awards as a goalie. No eagles has yet reached close to this haul and this record could potentially stay.

Tom Eagles while not winning a cup, was awarded with the Jake Wylde Trophy for being the top defensive defender in the league. It was a surprising win for Tom as he was expecting to win the Valiq or Funk award, but he was honored and excited to win.

For the current Eagles player, Henry, he has not won any awards. There was a lot of hype around Henry as he was the only Eagles to be drafted 1st overall but he did not manage to score the rookie of the year or any awards up to this point in time. In his 3rd season, it is also looking like there will be no individual awards for Henry this season.

Awards Race:

Greg - 3 Awards

Tom - 1 Award

Henry - 0 Awards

Rivalry Conclusion

As of this moment, the original Eagles, Greg is currently leading the Eagles rivalry with amount of cups and awards. Tom sits in 3rd and our current VHL player sits in second and will be making a push in his last 4-5 season to become the top Eagles.
