Thunder 1,181
For Jake Thunder, he never expected to lose one of his good friends to an opponent, and the sudden departure of Siyan Yasilievich, left a hole in the HC Davos defense. @badcolethetitan decided he wanted to test the free agency market to see if he could find a new home and new teammates, was traded to London early this week and he quickly packed up and moved to the fog. Every teammate on HC Davos wished Siyan well and best of luck with his new team and ribbed him as he let the door hit his ass on the way out! For Thunder and Yasilievich, they parted on friendly terms with the stipulation that Yasilievich promises to let a few pucks go by against Davos, and Thunder will not check Yasilievich over the boards. Now that same agreement was not made by David Jokinen, as @Ahma bleeds Davos blue through and through. In fact, Jake Thunder had to sit down with David Jokinen and let him know that things will be OK and the team will survive. The team has so much trust in GM Alex, that all memories of Yasilievich’s success with Davos has been placed in the memory books. Yasilievich picked a good time to put out the feelers for a new team, as he dominated the scoring this season for Davos. He was a leader in all statistics as well as being a leader in the locker room. Yasilievich is expected to produce the same stats with his new team and London GM @jacobcarson877 wasted no time in setting goals for his new defensive star. Talk around the city of London has fans excited for the coming season in hopes of holding up a cup; however, the true fans of London hockey know quite well that HC Davos is still stacked with talent and are going to be the team to beat. And with Siyan leaving, there is new energy in the Davos locker room as they have gotten the chance to train with their new teammate, Brian Kowalski. Brian Kowalski, @Wheaties, stepped onto the ice and made an immediate impact. Although Yasilievich is talented with finesse, Kowalski has grit, strength, and a demanding work ethic. Kowalski plays 100% at all times and is not afraid to hit opponents, and take on the top foes. Jake Thunder is especially excited to have Kowalski on the ice to help punish anyone trying to enter the zone. The addition of Brian Kowalski has given GM Alex a lot more flexibility to manage the lineup on defense and find the perfect matchups against every team Davos faces. David Jokinen is most definitely pleased with the addition of Brian Kowalski as now Jokinen can put more focus on building his overall skills given Kowalski’s well rounded abilities. In fact, Jokinen has showed off his speed and agility along with his checking prowess, during the recent Davos training sessions. The bottom line for HC Davos, who have the same star studded forwards this season, and with Xavier Booberry and Lachlan Summers in goal this season, is that nothing has changed for their goals for the season. Coming home with a championship cup. The team is so focused on winning it all that the locker room chat regarding losing Yasilievich is, “Siyan who?” Best of luck to you Siyan. 558 words Wheaties, jacobcarson877, Alex and 3 others 4 1 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/134203-yasilievich-leaves-thunder-stunned-momentarily/ Share on other sites
