Why would an NHL team put its leading goal scorer on the trading block? Ask the Canucks - The Globe and Mail

Henry Eagles has not been seen at the Wolves off-season training camp or any pre-season games for the last 3 weeks and many were wondering what the problem has been. Did Henry get injured in the off-season? Is there some sort of locker room dispute with team-mates? Is there maybe a dispute with the Management or coaching team? Is he maybe unhappy and holding out?

Those were all the rumours floating around the media in the last little while but today, Henry was back on the ice and as happy as ever. We asked him about his absence and what really was happening.

"Media and fans always seem to spread some sort of rumous and then those rumours pick up speed and spread everywhere. Everything that was mentioned recently is all false. I was not injured and I have no issues with any team-mates or management team members. In fact, I couldn't wait to get back to the Wolves and start this new season" Henry said " What really happened is that I took 3 weeks off with the permission of our management team. Since I joined the Wolves I have been 24/7 training during regular season and off-season and I got the point where I was just burning out and needed some time to spend with my family. I think it did me wonders and now I am back and ready to focus completely on the season ahead"

With that sentence the rumours were all put the rest and the fans can stop worrying about the future of Henry. As we observed him on the ice, he seemed to be in the best shape of his career and has looked much stronger defensively. He was also working extra time with his shooting coach, working on adapting his wrist shot to be more lethal. Henry intends to be the Wolves main scorer this season and has also set a new goal for the VHL season this year.

"I have lofty goals this season that I aim to reach. I am entering my 4th season and its time for me to take the bull by the horn and try and compete for some awards. I will not compromise the teams ability to win just to chase my own trophy's, the team always comes first but I know I can balance both" Henry continued " I want to be the league leader in scoring this season and I have been working on adjusting my shot and being able to get into harder spots better. We will see if this works out for me but I have full faith in myself to lead the league in scoring and to capture another cup with the Wolves"

Last years leader in goals was Sirdsvaldis Miglaskems who put up 54 goals, Henry only put up 37 goals last season so he does have some way to go but with the way he has been playing in his short time back in the Wolves training camp, everyone from management to the fans believe he has what it takes to get it done this year.
