Take Notice of Monty Burns

It's hard not to take notice of Montgomery Burns' impressive stats in his first 10 games with the Saskatoon Wild. With four goals, five assists, and nine points, he's currently leading the team in points, and his impact on the ice has been undeniable.

However, it's important to consider the bigger picture as well. Despite Burns' strong performance, the Wild have had a slow start to the season, currently sitting near the bottom of the standings with a near league worst record. While Burns' individual success is certainly worth celebrating, it's clear that the team as a whole needs to improve if they hope to climb the ranks and make a playoff push.

One area where the Wild have struggled is their defensive play. In their 10 games, they've allowed too many goals against, one of the highest totals in the league. This is a concerning trend that will need to be addressed if they hope to turn their season around. While Burns has shown his offensive prowess, it will take a team effort to tighten up their defensive play and give themselves a better chance to win. Even with the poor team play, Burns remains an even player at even strength.

That being said, there is reason for optimism. The Wild have a talented roster, and with Burns' addition, they have the potential to make some noise in the league. It will be important for the team to continue to work hard in practice and focus on improving their overall play. If they can start to string together some wins, they have the potential to turn their season around and make a push for the playoffs.

As for Burns, it's clear that he's already established himself as a key player on the team. His physicality, finesse, and scoring ability make him a dangerous weapon on the ice, and his positive attitude and leadership skills make him a valuable asset in the locker room. If he can continue to produce at the level he has been, there's no doubt that he'll be a player to watch in the league this season.
