The season is well underway and I must say, Riga is not where I thought it would be. Though there are many games to play and we can gain ground and play to our potential. Coming to a new team is always a bit stressful. I don't know many of the players and only talked to the GM a couple of times. I am sure things would get better if we were winning and Max was playing like he has over his career. It will come soon. Maybe he is gripping his stick a bit too hard.

Meanwhile, the European conference is going to be another tough season filled with teams that will battle to make the playoffs. With a bit of puck luck and hard work, Riga should be a team making a push to get in. Still too early to predict how the rest of the season will go but I would say things are going to get better sooner than later.
