The background stock is a bit strong but not hindering the other elements. The player looks like a good cut with no obvious flaws. Everything stands out when it is on a dark background, so that is the case here. I am not crazy about the font or the lack of word separation, but it works and it's your design. I think it would have made sense to have the player render on the other side so he would be looking inward instead of outward. I think you missed the opportunity to fill in some dead space by not putting the logo in the large open area.
