badcolethetitan 938
Siyan Yasilievich to Head to Free Agency Where is he going? Siyan has stated yesterday that he's going to be heading to free agency to test the waters. Siyan currently has two seasons left in his career and he has stated that he wants to either "be on a contending team" or "play with friends." Siyan is coming off of a disappointing season, not even being a point-per-game defenseman that could tank his value. Not only that, he'll have to earn the max contract for the VHL and some teams might not be willing to fork over that type of money for Siyan to play on their team. On top of that, Siyan is starting to regress and this season proves that he might not be at the top of his game moving forward. However, Siyan can provide leadership to a team of young guns and also be a solid defenseman that can produce offensively, should the team need it. He isn't the best defensive player, but his offensive makes up for his holes in his defensive play, so possibly a team will take a chance on him. Siyan has trophies under his belt and plenty playoff experience, which should be a positive on his resume trying to find a team. Many reporters believe that they "doubt" Siyan will be team-less, but the options could be "limited" depending on what the rosters look like during free agency. There's already a couple of teams that catch his eyes, but without an offer, they'll just be dreams for Siyan. In the end though, Siyan is looking forward to heading to a new team and meeting new people!
