After beginning the season with a middling 5-6-1 record, the Malmo Nighthawks won eight straight and have a 10-1-1 record in their last 12 games. While the team no doubt has relied on production from their veterans, the rookies have had their shining moments as well.

Savaisk Tzesar

Malmo's leading rookie scorer is Savaisk Tzesar, who has four goals and six assists over the past 12 games. This came after just two goals in his first 12 games. During that time, he has been on the score sheet in eight games, including a two-goal game in their most recent victory. His most notable game, however, was his second star performance in Game 112. Tzesar had a goal and an assist in the game, helping the Nighthawks take down a top team in the Los Angeles Stars by a score of 5-4.

Ronald Johnson MacWallace III

Having just mentioned the 5-4 win over the Stars, now would be an apt time to discuss Ronald Johnson MacWallace III. RJMW was the third star in that game, also with a goal (the first of his VHL career) and an assist. He is now at two goals and nine assists for the season.

Jebediah Big Ol Doinks in Amish

The rookie defensmen on the team, Jeb Doinks had his own second star showing in Malmo's 3-1 win over Toronto in Game 140. He had just a single goal in the game, but he also played very well on the penalty kill. He followed up that performance with three assists in a 5-4 shootout win against the Seattle Bears.
