Smarch 3,150
Quite a draft night in Vancouver The Vancouver Wolves entered the Season Ninety-One VHL Entry draft with six draft choices in the First Round, including the First Overall draft pick after an off-season trade with the New York Americans. While there was a little bit of debate as to who would be selected First Overall between Logan Ninefingers and George Richmond, eventually the Wolves decided on Right Winger Logan Ninefingers as the top pick in the draft. After picking up two forwards with the first two picks they had, Vancouver then turned there attention to the blue line picking up Vlad Von Carstein and Guntis Gavilrovs with the Sixth and Seventh Overall picks in the draft. When the Wolves returned to the podium for the Twelfth Overall selection the team again went defense, picking up DB IV, who spent last season in the VHLM with the Houston Bulls. The Wolves when then close out their stellar draft by selecting Joe Shmo with the second last pick in the First Round, Fifteenth Overall. While there might be some cap he’ll for the Wolves a few years down the road, the future is sure looking bright in Vancouver with the above listed selection this evening.
