David Rashford's Strong Most Improved Bid

While his numbers may not be the strongest of the candidates, David Rashford of the Moscow Menace had a huge leap forward this season and is deserving of some consideration for the Most Improved Player award - otherwise known as the Dustin Funk Trophy.

S91: David Rashford (MOS) - 11G, 17A, 28P, -48, 38PIM, 60HIT, 6SB
S92: David Rashford (MOS) - 28G, 35A, 63P, 22, 23PIM, 56HIT, 31SB

You can see that Rashford took a huge leap forward in terms of production and a giant leap forward in on-ice effectiveness (we're referring to that as plus minus). He improved his plus minus by a shocking 70 which is almost one goal per game of positive net impact. While his goals, assists, and points totals do not jump out of the page he still managed to became a productive offensive threat scoring an impressive 28 goals. Often this award is given to a play who has reached superstardom which is a level Rashford has not ascended to just yet, so it remains to be seen if he'll even be treated as a viable contender the Dustin Funk Trophy.
