Thoughts at the Halfway Mark

So we're officially at the halfway mark of the season, and I thought I'd just give my thoughts on Alexandr Novotny's season thus far. I would say the first half of this season has been a major success, as the Halfiax 21st are battling for first in the division and Novotny has been a consistent contributor on the back end. With 35 points in 37 games, he sits fifth in points among defensemen, and second in points on Halifax. Defensively, the young Czech has been quite sound as well, with 46 shots blocked and 73 hits. 

 

From a team-oriented perspective, the 21st also looks extremely promising as a team. We have a ton of people consistently earning TPE, a fun locker room, and we had a really solid start to the season. I think we could really make a push for the Founders Cup, which would be awesome as I've never won it. The closest I came was with Patrik Tallinder, losing to Saskatoon in the finals with the Hounds.
