In this first iteration of the writing ranks, we have a wide pool of 21 contestants hoping that their words can bring them glory. The contestants can be found here. Each week, our contestants will be assigned a different writing task, and each week the VHL community will vote on whose pieces are the strongest. Let the games begin! Assignment 1: Write an XM Radio/VHL.com piece Length: 150-250 words Topic: Writer's choice Due Date: Monday, Dec. 8, 11:59 PM These pieces will be voted upon to determine our initial bracket of 16, with the lowest 5 votes being eliminated. Please PM all submissions to me with the title WRITING RANKS ROUND 1. Once the voting is complete, feel free to use your piece as you would a regular XM Radio and claim 1 TPE for it. For this competition you PM your work to Noah, don't post it as an XM Radio. That way people don't know who they are voting for, and then after the round is over you can post it as an XM radio and claim your 1 TPE.
