Scurvy 1,487 Posted June 16 Share Posted June 16 At the mid-point through the season, it appears that Vancouver Wolves forward Rip Wheeler @ScottyP has finally peeked under his hockey pants and finally found a pair of stones. #3 in scoring for the surging Vancouver club he has 17 goals 24 assists for 41 points. Paired on the top line with their leading scorer Owen Lazaro @traphag, the two have bonded well and complement each other’s playing style. Rip has had an up and down career, but it seems his trade to Vancouver has revitalized him and he shows up early to practice, works hard, and will shed the mitts if necessary. All of these traits have led GM @Frank to trust Rip in crucial game situations on the power play and even key shootout opportunities. The Wolves are currently in third place in the division, just 3 points behind #2 Toronto. They will need Rip to stay hot and continue to earn this season to be deadly come playoff time.
