Guest
Helsinki, Finaland December 4, 2014 Raymond on Ice during pregame warm up. The recent practice that the titans held was an odd one for sure as we saw the left winger Christopher Raymond playing on defense. We don't know what to make of this, is a position switch in the works for the young winger or was there just some shenanigans to be had at the practice. From what it looks like is the general manager and coach had Raymond running drills with the defense and being mentored by Don Draper. We caught up with Raymond and asked him about the situation, "As far as I know it was just for today due to injury, like I said before anything can happen on this team. I'm excited to be here and will do whatever it takes. If the Helsinki Titans want me to play defense then I will; if they need me to run drills for a few days then I will. If they want me to switch then I guess I have a lot to learn in a few short weeks.” Many believe the Titans would make some key trades after they missed the playoffs but their General Manager had other thoughts. "We have a great core group of guys here, I have zero plans to move any of them in the near future. As for Raymond playing on defense, we are simply trying out many new ideas and tactics this year. We want to be unpredictable and spontaneous. We will see what happens in the near future." If the rumors are true it just proves what kind of asset Chris Raymond could be for any Victory Hockey League team, if he switches to defense then it shows his dedication to be the best and drive to win. With the Helsinki Titans sitting currently at seven forwards and three defense it looks like this might actually hold some traction. For the past five years Raymond has been training and playing the role of a depth forward but if he switches it will be more ice time and a new position. Can the young player adjust or will he crumble under the pressure? Well we caught up with the teams Captain to find out "Raymond is very talented, whatever the coach throws at him he excels at so I think if he does end up switching to defense he will land on his feet and figure it out just fine. I have faith in Raymond and he has a lot of hockey ahead of him.” With the preseason just around the corner and the World Cup coming to the medal rounds soon It will be once again time to compete for the league championship. Helsinki is looking to make it into the semi finals this year with there new addition to the blue line. pxzero 65
Content: 3/3 It's always interesting to see a player break into a new role/position on a team. I'll keep an eye out to see where Raymond ends up in the future, but it's awesome to see that he's willing to break out of his comfort zone for the good of the team. Grammar: 2/2 Lots of small things that look to be proofreading errors. Not going to cost you anything though. Helsinki, Finaland - I'm not sure if that's a typo, or some non-English way to spell Finland. Looking up Finaland got me a final fantasy website, which amused me. titans - Titans From what it looks like is the general manager and coach had Raymond running drills with the defense and being mentored by Don Draper. - Awkwardly worded.
