There was an option on the table that would have used the farm system in STHS as a place for people to start until they hit 200 TPE at which point they could be called up mid season to the M to sit until 400; so basically the VHLE but without jumping leagues and teams and a third draft and everything. It was debated a lot but ultimately we decided that it just wasn’t worth the investment needed right now as the numbers just don’t really support it any more than 10 teams and in our testing the performance of 400 TPE players against new players isn’t as insane as one might think.

That’s hard to say. It was both performance and space realistically. With the amount of players we had at the time we would have needed large expansions in both the VHL and the VHLM regardless of performance level just to house everyone. Personally I don’t agree with going to more than 16 teams in the VHL so that was always going to be a tough sell.

It’s official, I’ve successfully manage to avoid playing in the E all-together for my entire tenure in the VHL
