Season ninety-six draft eligible defenseman Cysteine is enjoying a quality season with the Ottawa Lynx of the VHLM. Cysteine joined the VHL after the season ninety-five VHLM Dispersal Draft and was able to be picked up off waivers by the Lynx prior to the season starting. As the defender was able to join the league prior to the start of the season, Cysteine was able to play in all seventy-two games for the Lynx is the most recent regular season. In those seventy-two games the thirty-two-year-old defender was able to put up eleven goals and thirty-one assists. Cysteine and the Lynx were able to make the VHLM playoffs this season, even though the team finished in last place in the Eastern Conference. Although the playoffs only lasted five games for the Lynx, Cysteine still had a pretty good showing for a rookie in their first playoff experience, putting up one goal and two assists in those five games.

Now entering the offseason, Cysteine will turn their attention to building off the ice. Currently the defender is mostly a welfare and practice facility earner, so hopefully as they feel more comfortable in the VHL, they will explore other opportunities to earn TPE to grow their game.
