jRuutu 2,474
Banackock asked an interesting question: What stops you from applying for recruitment job? I have never considered applying because, in my opinion, the league officials should monitor content posted around VHL and approach users who have talents: users who can create cool-looking graphics, users who can write in a way that captures your attention, users who have a nice voice, users who know how to edit videos/tracks, etc. These types of skills should be looked after by the league. Instead of hiring people for recruiting full-time, I think it would be better if users were offered shorter "contracts" where they do a couple of graphics here and there, write slogans and introductions, do voice work for a few tracks, edit a few things, etc. Multiple people are working together to create promotional materials. A system like that could create fresh and interesting content, people might be more open to participating in recruiting people to VHL when they can do it when they can/want AND they get TPE for it, and those in permanent recruitment roles would get help. Recruiting should also be a community effort. The promotional materials created should be posted in the forum for everybody to see and use. The league should somehow then reward those who do guerilla marketing and post the content around the internets. It could be screenshotting/sending links to 4 posts made to earn 3 TPE a week, or something like that. Nothing stops me from posting about VHL wherever, but I am not going to do that just for the fun of it. I would need some TPE if I were to promote VHL around the internets. I am also not interested in working in recruitment, or any other VHL job, full-time and non-stop. I could help out here and there if there is some kind of little project where I could, for example, write slogans, comments, introductions, etc to help out AND to earn TPE. I could also be interested in being a "stranger" and asking questions, commenting, and just trashing the VHL advertisement posted around the internet to create buzz and activity around the posts, but I would need TPE for it. Truth be told, I would be curious to test and see how well the "stranger" tactic would work in general, because I think lessons learned could be later used somewhere else, maybe even to earn some money, I could then donate enough money to VHL, so a VHL team is named after me. I would hire a group of Venezuelans to carry me to glory by having them come super actives. Perhaps the answer for recruiting is finding a way to make me rich. Have we thought about this as a league? I think there are a lot of skills and talent around VHL that could be used in recruitment. Not just for actual content and posting it, but also for different strategies on how to do it all. If the league gives 5 TPE for welfare each week, the league could easily give out 5 TPE a week for recruiting-related activities done by users.
