It's a cold ass day out here in Mississauga... or are we in Ottawa? Is this the game against Philadelphia? I have honestly lost track of time or reality, stopped counting the days. Hockey is a tough, tough business and I had been prepared that there were tougher days ahead to come. It still feels like a very unsatisfying situation and I'm not even sure if this organization wants me to be here at all.

With the way it is now, everybody gets more chances on this team. Hell, even the damned janitor gets more ice time than I do. It's just not a simple thing to deal with but I'm keeping my lips shut. I'm not going to stir up some trouble now. I'm also aware enough to know that I'm a egocentric schmuck who is the least experienced player on this team with the least accolades to show for. It's a matter of being consistent, getting your reps, getting through the mud until brighter days come. And I hope that they will come because they sure have been absent this entire season now.

Until that point, I'm like Otis Redding - I'm sitting... sitting at the backend of the bench.
