der meister 3,236 Posted December 5 Share Posted December 5 It's a little disconcerting that it's already December. Today is my youngest's birthday. I can't believe they're 15. Time truly does fly, even if, in the moment, it feels like forever and a day to get a lunch break at work. But my kid is happily watching She-Ra before bed, while I write this from my own bed, complete with the dog pressed up against me. He's a 55 pound labradoodle with an insane jealous streak. He's fine when it's just the two of us, but if I try to give my wife a hug, he will charge over and try to separate us. Not ideal in any situation, frankly. Speaking of time moving slowly, the offseason in D.C. is a painful one, though every offseason is, to be honest. The Draft lotto did not go in the Dragons' favor, and frankly as someone who is only invested in how my team at the moment is doing, the playoffs are not the least bit interesting. I feel like the Indian dude in that meme who is just staring straight forward, in multiple poses, waiting for something to happen, some external stimulus to shake me from my silent reverie. My kid swears he can say his own name and has on occasion done just that.
