David David Scores Surprising Hatty

It's been a tough adjustment to the VHLM for David David, but recently there was a moment of hope that he'll be able to settle in and make a name for himself when he scored a hattrick against the championship contending Mexico City Kings. Even more surprisingly, the lowly San Diego Marlins actually managed a victory and now sit at 8 wins in 36 games played. There was another storyline here as Mexico City gave David his first ever chance in the VHLM so you know he had to be fereally good about that. When asked about it after the game, David had this to say. "Credit to the boys for putting themselves in front of the net and making it difficult for the goalie to see my floaters from the point. They really deserve credit for the goals, not me. Obviously it's nice to get a few and have an impact in a winning game but don't get used to it yet. I still have so much to learn and there's a ton of areas I need to better develop to help make a difference on this team. I won't lie, it was great to have this type of game against Mexico City and I got a couple of jabs from their bench about it but it's all love at the end of the day." David's shooting percentage on the season now sits at 25%. Is that a sign of a player who will be scoring 30+ at the highest level? Or is he just on an incredibly lucky run of form? We'll have the answer to that sometime in the next 5-6 seasons.

Hattricks are the best. I've really enjoyed my current player, Severus Targaryen, who is about to retire. Mostly 40+ goals a season throughout their career. Been fun!

I would also enjoy my player if they get 25 hattricks in their career like Severus Targaryen has to date
