Landry Petitions To Spare Encarnacion

NEW YORK - With the Turku Outlaws' season over, Head Coach Thomas Landry moved on to his next task at hand: saving the life of beleaguered defenseman Edwin Encarnacion. Undeniably one of Landry's favorite personalities during his career, they were also teammates during the Davos legend's final season in the VHL. After learning of the Blue Team's plans to kill Encarnacion after his final game, Landry was noticeably shaken and upset, making himself unavailable to most people for several days.

"Yeah, I'd say it did bother me," Landry revealed in a statement earlier today. "I've long maintained that Edwin Encarnacion is a treasure to the VHL and simply put, we can't possibly condone actions like that against him. He keeps this league honest and he brightens up countless players with his antics. Disposing of him would be such a terrible mistake."

Apparently unaware of the fact that murder is especially illegal in a public setting such as a hockey game, no changes in plans have yet to be announced as of this time.
