The background has some cool elements to it, but the lighting makes the sig look too washed out and faded. The render's face is too bright as well. As for the text, the best advice I can give you is to stick to simple fonts; arial, times new roman, helvetica and the like can go a long way for your sigs. There are tutorials and PSDs all over the site that can help you now that you have photoshop. I'd suggest getting into those to accelerate the learning curve, and then you'll be making awesome stuff in no time! Creativity: 1/1 - Yep.
