Brennan McQueen played his last season in the VHL last season and although it was a disappointing one with the rebuilding Reign, he still felt like it was better than what he's experiencing now. The veteran forward was a top tier power forward in the VHL from the time he entered the league to the time he played his last game. Now he's been retired at such a young age and just isn't enjoying it at all.

"It sucks that the VHL won't let me play in their league anymore. I feel like I still have a lot of hockey in me and I can't do anything about it. I've been exploring playing in other leagues but I don't think it will be the same. Plus not many teams want to take on an older forward for a fresh start in a new league. We will see where it goes but there might be a possibility of going to the SHL as other VHL players have done before."

Most notably Ryan Sullivan went to the SHL and now plays for the Minnesota Chiefs after he was a legend in the VHL for so many years. We will see what comes of it.
