HC DAVOS KEY METRICS

The Good:  The HC Davos Dynamo are still the best defensive team in the VHL.  Led by Mason Richardson and supported by Andrey Zadorov, Vladamir Komarov, and Joshua Rubin, the Dynamo are first by a wide margin in GAA and in third place in shots against.  With a young offensive core, the Dynamo seem to be struggling to own puck possession, but are still doing a tremendous job blocking shots and keeping the puck from getting to the net - mostly in thanks to their defense.  Another key metric for HC Davos has been their power play and penalty kill.  Their success here is again due to their very deep roster.  The Dynamo rank 2nd in PP% at 19.32% and 1st in PK% at 92.00%.  Overall

The Bad:  Part of the reason HC Davos has struggled against some of the better teams is an inability to dominate at the face off circle.  This leads to poor puck possession and oftentimes a discrepancy in shot totals. Right now, the Dynamo are at a mediocre 27.6 shots attempted per game, while only allowing 24.8 shots attempted per game.  While this isn't bad, it's certainly not the best in the league.  The shot discrepancy comes in at 111.29% - which is only good for 6th in the VHL.

The Verdict:  HC Davos will have to improve their current offensive core, especially their passing, defense, strength, and face off skill sets in order to improve puck possession and overall shot margin.
