Guest
Bronze Medal Performances It seems a lot of things in Michael Clardy's world seem to revolve around the 3rd place, the 3rd season, the 3rd anything. It's odd, but most good things come in 3's, right? Let's dive in right away and discover the revelation around this great number and its connection to #Clargary and the Wranglers future star. Personal Achievement Clardy's in his 2nd year of professional hockey and has since been with 2 teams: His Moscow Red Wolves, where he was drafted 3rd Overall, and the Bratislavia Watchmen, his new team for his sophomore campaign. His rookie season, Moscow played the up-and-comer on the 1st line and Moscow really took off. Things were great, Clardy was playing hot, and free agents, guys that could contribute, came to the team early. Clardy and his guys ended up finishing off that season with a 1st round exit in the playoffs, but the defender was tied for 3rd in team scoring. Being used to this, Clardy has taken the position outright with Bratislavia in their quest for glory. 2 consecutive years of top 3 scoring for a great defender seems normal. Any phenom performs anywhere. But the number 3 has 2 more places to go. Team Performance Clardy's rookie season ended in the playoffs, so obviously Moscow had to be a contender to get to the dance. Moscow did end up going as the 3rd best team in the European division, which was understandable for who the Red Wolves had in terms of skaters, goaltending abilities, and line management. But Clardy seems to be in for another 3rd place performance with the Watchmen in an odd twist, with the European Conference team currently sitting in 3rd place among their conference rivals. The Watchmen are only 30 games in and not only is Clardy on a team with comparable, if not better, talent than his rookie season Red Wolves, but he is 3rd in scoring on a team that is sitting 3rd in the European Conference. Freaky, you say? There's one more connection that will shock you even more. Clargary Wranglers Clardy was drafted to the Calgary Wranglers at 9th overall (3+3+3=9, but let's keep going), and the Wranglers needed some good news. Currently, the Wranglers are dead last in the North American Conference, same as last year. That's 2 seasons of defeat. The season before, the 3rd season, was when Calgary last went to the playoffs, scraping in at, you guessed it, 3rd place in the North American Conference. The number haunts the young hockey player, but there are still games left in the season. Will the Clargary Wranglers inherit the number-based haunting or will the VHL finally break the 3-humped camel and allow Clardy to develop into an all-time great? Only time will tell. But for now, Clardy seems to be a Bronze-Medal player. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/20102-claimedbronze-medal-performancesfinal-66/ Share on other sites
