The Deadly Duo

So far this season, the duo of Valmount and Davidson has made a big name for themselves in the VHLM. This duo has been dominating on the ice. Davidson and Valmount have been at the top of the league in points from the start of the season to this moment. Their chemistry is near perfect or maybe it is perfect. While Davidson provides more high-level offensive play, Valmount does it all, he hits and plays a great two-way game. Both players are capable of passing and shooting which makes them unpredictable on the attack. Both of them have their shortfalls so they complete each other on the ice. At the moment Valmount and Davidson each have 37 points.

 

This duo plays for the Bratislava Watchmen, and they have carried the team so far and will continue to do so. Although, the team has gotten much stronger acquiring two great defenseman from a trade.

Personally, Valmount is very, very sad to see a leader of the team go to play for another team. Lenny Face was an important guy off the ice. Valmount will miss him very much.

This week Simon Valmount gave the question spotlight to Alexander Davidson.

What do you think about your linemates?

"I'm a quiet one, but my linemates are awesome. They bug me just enough to know what I'm thinking about and also to know what’s up. On the ice they just know exactly where to be so I can get them the puck. It must be why I'm such a solid passer here and they can benefit with scoring goals. My goodness, it’s kind of like we know where each other is without actually seeing.
Off the ice, they are still awesome. When I'm bored they get me hyped up again and they keep things fresh. It's all about the fun and the jokes on the bench and after the game are great. It just keeps the place alive and makes for a great place to play. Great linemates, can I keep them next year too?" Davidson comments.

 

Opinion about Bratislava's regular season success (so far and future)?

"Much better than I thought it would be. Let's be honest… going into the season not having much of a team I thought we were easily going to be sellers to get something going for the future. You know, try to help someone and just stock up draft picks for next year as you just never know with the VHLM. That's the beauty of the league as every game matters as what some may think of a bare bones team has essentially one of the best scoring tandems in Valmount and Davidson. Who would have thought that before the season would start? I did not and I guess that is why I am not the GM right.. I guess that is why we hired GM Banackock (Mr. Campbell) to make the team good as at the beginning of the season I told him what he wanted to do was up to him. Trade or retain, as long as it’s within the team goals." Davidson said.

Now that Bratislava has acquired two defenseman for a goalie and a pick to complement the team, it sure seems like Banana knows what he is doing. Davidson and Valmount are both liking the success the Watchmen are having and hopes to continue that success. They also hope for the same success with the new members they just added.
