Wild Time

After a great regular season that saw the Wild lose only nine games all season, the team headed into the playoffs a confident bunch. The Wild are currently in a fifteen year Founder's Cup drought, but this roster looks ready to compete for a founders cup. With the second round of the VHLM playoff underway, we'll look into some of the reasons for the great regular season.

Marcel Faux:

Last year Marcel Faux stared the season with the Wild before being shipped off to the Bern Royals at the deadline. The Royals went on to win the Founder's Cup with Faux playing a major supporting role behind Tim TebowGow and MC Hammer. After selling the farm to get a championship, Bern as looking to sell off assets during their off-season fire sale, this is what lead to Faux making his way back to the club the drafted him a season prior. Faux was the leader for the Wild on and off the ice and could easily take home the Mitch Higgins for the most valuable player. Faux lead the league this season in goals with sixty-eight and was behind two Wild teammates in assists with seventy-one. As Saskatoon opens up their playoff appearance against the Yukon Rush, the team will again need Faux to lead the way with his great offensive play. Faux will look to close out his VHL minors career with his second championship.

Biggu Kyanon:

The Asian sensation has been a powerhouse both offensively and defensively from the blue-line for the Wild this past season. Kyanon came to the Wild via the VHLM Dispersal Draft, and made the everyone happy in Wild country with his play this season. Kyanon was second in the league in assists with seventy-eight and was second to only teammate MC Hammer in defenseman scoring with 117 points. With his strong play this past season Kyanon should be a lock to take home the Ryan Sullivan award for the VHLM top defenseman. Kyanon will look to help the Wild to a championship this season as he won't be returning to the VHLM next season as he looks to be a top three draft pick in this years draft.

Max Mølholt:

Sometimes an overlooked part of the Wild offensive Juggernaut this season, Max Mølholt put in a great year offensively for the Saskatoon club. The Danish native has already committed to Toronto via the General Manager rule half-way through the season, which game him plenty of time to focus on his game instead of the extra baggage of being a prospect. After declaring for the VHLM last season, Mølholt saw action in only four games for the Ottawa Lynx. The limited action may have contributed to Mølholt slipping on the draft boards, but the Wild were more than happy to see Mølholt still available Thirteenth Overall in this past draft. Moholt went on to prove many General Managers wrong with a thirty-two goal, eight-one assist regular season. The assist machine will be relied on heavily to create some magic in the post-season as the Wild continue their push for the Founder's Cup.

Content 3/3 - It's crazy how good this Sasky team has been. Being an alum to the team makes me more excited about this run and I'm hoping it all works out for you guys in the post-season. It'll also be interesting to see how many trophies the team takes in for this run.

Grammar 2/2 - Nothing too serious.

founders cup -> Founder's Cup
stared the season -> started the season
Faux lead the league -> Faux led the league

Appearances 1/1 - Looks good!
