Banackock 8,141
When I had first taken the job as Watchmen's Head GM, the team was in shambles and we had only two active members on the roster in our locker room. The odds were stacked against us and things didn't look to positive regarding a trip to the finals and promiseland. Shortly after my hiring, I asked my boys (Smitty and Ahma) if they wished to say or pursue a championship elsewhere. Both had stated to do what I thought was best. If they were to stay, they would gladly do so. I am not the type of person or GM to roll over easy, die and give up quickly. I had a plan in mind and we executed it fairly well I believe. We brought in waiver players, made numerous trades and signed a star free agent goalie in Coca Cola. Our season may have been cut short due to an amazing, epic series with the Oslo Storm - but we made it closer to the finals than we expected. I knew Round 2 was likely a go, but never did I expect a Game 7 battle with Oslo. Our season was full of fun in the Locker Room, many accomplishments and top notch play from our players, and a lot of positivity in my opinion. So as stated, we came short but I feel as though we have nothing to be ashamed of and that each member should be proud of our end result. I'd like to publically thank my team and fellow members of the Bratislava Watchmen for one hell of a season. Ahma's and Smitty, I could not have done it without you boys being on board with the vision that I saw the team potentially coming. To the guys who were waived onto the team or came through trades, thank you for doing so with an open mind and with such positivity within our LR. I apologize that we could not make it any further than what we had. Slightly, I feel that I had failed you and for most, I can not make it up to you. If you're leaving our team after this season completes, thank you so much for your service and best of luck where ever you are next season and in your careers. I will be making a Media Spot basically about our season, reiterating what was said above and with the announcement regarding the future of Bratislava and the next platform of my plan for success. Stay tuned, it'll be worth the wait. Thank you, Blake Campbell, GM of the Watchmen diamond_ace and Ahma 2 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/23201-bratislavas-season-ends-early/ Share on other sites
