Caught stealing [Final 6/6]

I almost ruined my career few days ago. "Ruin" is perhaps a bit too strong a word but it's not that far off. The VHL has a strict policy about criminal activity. Players who break the law usually get a heavy fine and suspension.  That is on top of the possible jail time. In my opinion it's great that the league will punish the players who fail to follow the rules. It's not such a good look for the VHL if the player is allowed back immediately without any fines or suspensions. Players are role models for kids. Some players even have massive sponsorship deals so possible criminal conviction is going to be quite bad for all parties involved. 

 

Anyway, I was on my way to a supermarket near my house to buy some food. Nothing unusual  happened while I was walking there. Weather was nice, I was feeling happy and quite hungry. I was planning on buying some bread and perhaps some kinds of cold cuts. Perhaps a bad idea to go shopping with a empty stomach. 

I was ramming all kinds of products into my shopping cart. Cheese , cucumber , three different kind of cold cuts etc , basically everything you need to make a sandwich.  Eventually I felt confident that my hunger would be won with these ingredients. I started to walk towards the register when I spotted the candy aisle . 

 

I love candy! I rarely eat it though since I try to follow a strict diet. Something got in me. I heard a voice in my head saying: Go for it , try something. I just started to eat everything. I managed to eat solidly for two minutes before the security guard noticed me.

 

I panicked of course and started running towards the exit.  Unfortunately for me, there was another guard at the exit. He saw me running and tackled me down when I reached the exit.

 

I did not resist or anything but still they had to put handcuffs on me.  The security guards escorted me into the back room. There they looked the tapes and asked some questions from me. I tried to explain that somebody told me to eat the candy but they did not believe me. They offered me a chance to pay everything or they will call the cops and I would more than likely spend some time in jail.

 

Naturally I paid everything. In total I had to pay about 200 dollars. Rather expensive trip to the supermarket .To make things worse , I had to go to another shop to buy my sandwich ingredients. At least I did not have to talk to any cops or spend time in jail.  I can just hope that nobody tells the press about this. Luckily nobody recognized me in the supermarket so there is some hope. Need to lay low for next weeks and find a new favorite supermarket as I got banned from this one.

Content: 3/3 - You're very naughty. Eating the food in the aisle is very bad!!! As someone who works in a grocery store, this story is kind of funny because people steal all the time and go to the bulk food section and eat all the stuff. Haha 

Grammar: 2/2 -  A couple times you put a space before a comma, but that's basically irrelevant.
